Protein - Probe Technology : The method is based on a mix-and-measure technique. In the aggregation assay, we add the detection solution (typically 40-70 uL) to a 384-well and thereafter 1-6 uL of sample. We mix and then the wells are measured for time-resolved luminescence up to 60 min. The proprietary method uses an europium-chelate labeled peptide which interacts with the target protein when denatured and/or aggregation. We optimized the technique to antibodies. The luminescence signal of the Eu-peptide is quenched in solution with soluble quencher molecules when the peptide is not interacting with an unfolded protein. The method is 100-fold more sensitive than Sypro Orange.
